CURT BUSH

Owner

As the owner and founder of White Dog Studios, Curt brings over 30 years of in-depth experience to the company. Curt is a recording engineer and sound designer who is well known for editing, mixing, and creating dynamic sound design for commercial productions. He’s been twice nominated for the Southeast Regional Emmy® Award for Outstanding Audio – Post Production, and won in 2017 for his work on the documentary The Legend Lives On: Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. Curt started his career at Doppler Studios in Atlanta, one of the largest commercial production studios in the Southeast. It was during that time he developed a primary interest in sound design for radio and television, which led to him setting out on his own to build White Dog Studios. Today, Curt enjoys the wide variety of projects that Atlanta’s burgeoning status as a major film mecca brings to White Dog. He handled on-location ADR for seasons 2–6 of Drop Dead Diva, and acted as sound supervisor for season one of Superstition, one of the few shows produced from start to finish in Georgia. Curt has also done ADR for major motion pictures, including award-winning films that include The Butler and Still Alice.

PAUL RIECHMAN

PAUL RIECHMAN

ADR Dialogue Editing

With a wide range of experience in audio post production, Paul currently enjoys a focus on ADR, dialogue editing, and sound design for commercial and film projects. He also enjoys live mixing for various shows and events, and does acoustic and AV system installations. Born and raised in South Carolina, Paul was that kid who was always fascinated by how things work. He was tearing apart electronics and building his own devices at a young age, even learning how to solder. He started working with audio in high school, playing guitar and running the sound mixer for his band. The logical next step was to make audio a career—so Paul earned an associate’s degree in recording arts from Full Sail University, graduating at the top of his class, and moved to Atlanta to find fulfilling work. He has been working with White Dog Studios for over ten years now. Most recently, Paul served as dialogue editor on Superstition, a TV series that ran on SyFy and Netflix. When he’s not working with audio, you can find him outdoors, hiking, biking, or camping.

DAVE ERWIN

DAVE ERWIN

Creative Audio Post Production

Dave has more than 30 years experience with creative audio post production, sound design, effects editing, Foley recording, mixing, and voice-over work for film, radio, and TV. After a lengthy radio career—both behind the mic and in the production room—Dave found a home at Catspaw Productions in Atlanta in 1991. During his tenure there, Dave recorded, edited, and mixed the Dining Out American Express Card radio campaign for Ogilvy/Mather New York. By 1994, Dave was in Los Angeles producing national radio spots, eventually joining the staff at FOX Studios as an audio mixer. Over the next few years, Dave stayed busy as sound effects editor on several Disney films, and as lead sound effects editor and Foley recordist for the hit TV show Air America. Eventually he became the sound supervisor for Image Resources Film and Video, managing ADR and VO recording sessions with major actors. Dave did sound design for the History Channel series The Nostradamus Effect and mixed the 2012 feature documentary film Runaway Slave. He spent 17 years working in Los Angeles before returning to Atlanta, where he’s glad to be part of the White Dog team.

MARK MCBRYDE

MARK MCBRYDE

Audio Post Production

With more than 23 years of experience, Mark has worn many hats in audio post production. His true passion, however, is Foley. Mark started as a runner, chasing down props for the Foley stage, and went on to be mentored by seasoned Foley. Mark’s first Foley credit was for the film Biodome, in which he had to create the sounds of a person falling down into the dirt. With every take, he was asked to “make it sound bigger!” That’s when Mark learned a Foley performance must be larger than life, in order to play well in the mix. Since those days, Mark has built an impressive list of credits in TV and film and has served as staff Foley artist for Technicolor, Deluxe Media, and Image Resources. Other clients include Disney, Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, DreamWorks, SyFy, Hallmark, and Netflix. Recently, Mark teamed up with White Dog to complete Foley on 12 episodes of the TV series Superstition. Because of the supernatural content, he found every episode to be a new creative challenge. Based in Los Angeles, Mark serves as White Dog’s resident Foley artist.
